Please Stand Down Miss.

Today while doing the normal work-out routine at the Y, I caught a glismp of a tv showing foxnews.  The foxnews story was about the different changes in relationships (primarly male and female) and how females have taken a stronger more agressive stance in almost everything they do.  During this story, they showed many of the “most influential” women in today’s world.  Including Oprah, Hilary, and some of those pop stars!

Without taking this to the oh they rule the world, or even first the presidency.  I think I should take it to a different approach.   What do you think causes women now-a-days to be “less” old fashioned and more in your face guyish type of manner?  What causes a woman to pursue the guy for a relationship.  Or think she can preach in the pulpit?  Are women over-stepping their bounds?!  Can it be connected to fathers not having a big enough impact in their daughters…?
Your opinion please?  What do you think?!

  1. I think it’s a direct result of parental inefficiency. In their attempts to let their children become more “free” and be able to express themselves, they are letting their children grow up in disrespect for authority, man/woman.

    This leads to feminism. Haha.

  2. uh huh. I see why you wanted me to see this. haha.

I think it might have something to do with fathers and their support/respect of their daughters. I am Daddy’s Girl forever and he’s taught me that I don’t need to chase after some boy. That I’m special enough that the right guy will come for me and I won’t have to look for him. Perhaps that’s why I’ve only have 3 relationships but I don’t care. I’m not changing.

But I also grew up around guys who were told that if they didn’t treat the girls with respect {at least in eyesight of the adults} they would be beat black and blue. That only worked until maybe middle school but still.

and even now when I get into a weird mood I have certain guy friends who remind me that I shouldn’t just take myself for granted and that I am special.

therefore: I have no problem letting guys that the front lines. I’ll sit and watch them come to me. Sure it’s hard for you boys, but it’s definately more fun for me. ;)

    love ya bro.

  3. In America, we are so not used to there being strong women in leadership positions. It is consider so much a plague of thought we tend to shun women of all ages from taking the lead. In fact, we fear a strong woman taking center stage for any reason. For instance, you can count on one hand great female comediennes

When we see women “acting a manly” we almost seem threatened by their behavior. We have “not a clue” for what they might do. As if when they would become president we immediately sink into our immature sexist state and begin to fantascize how she…or they would destroy our way of living.

Just look at the first comment. Ricky is almost saying “How dare they assert their passion for leadership!” Some people think “Oh they must be over compensating for a lack of masculine presence in their lives.”

How silly and insane can one country be?

Grow up America! A great world is waiting for you to discover your beauty.

  4. True true AngllHugnU2. But I think mainly my generations and the generations before us, we are not bound by racism or sexism at the very least. It isn’t until recently women have “climbed the ladder,” in social ranks, and it is very interesting how people react to it.

The thing that I recently had experience in my life is women, being very aggressive with trying to begin a relationship.
